Students with kindness rocks
Happy Better World Day 2024!

Students at Trailside Academy participated in a school-wide project, putting together a walking mindfulness labyrinth for their community to enjoy for EL Education's Better World Day!

Better World Day is a student-led yearly event where students collaborate to help make a better world for humans all over the planet.

With each grade level represented, students painted rocks with positive messages and affirmations, with the hope of bringing people peace, strength, and joy.

EL (Expeditionary Learning) Education recognizes students as leaders of the present and future who will continue to grow as strong thinkers and active contributors to build a better world.

Happy Better World Day!

Congratulations to Ms. Cerna for being a top finalist for Teacher of the Year!

Ms. Cerna and her sixth-grade class got a special visit from the Colorado Department of Education’s Patty Gleason, who presented Ms. Cerna with an honorary award and a check for $1,200 for being named one of the top finalists for Teacher of the Year!

Each year, the Colorado Department of Education selects only seven finalists of the more than 60,000 teachers in Colorado for their award.
