Trailside Academy

Trailside Academy proudly serves students in preschool through eighth grades. In May 2020, Trailside Academy was accepted into the EL Education Network as a partnership school.  After spending our inaugural year exploring the model, our community has committed to using EL's Core Practices to guide our work with children. Trailside students contribute to a strong sense of CREW and also engage in relevant and authentic learning experiences. Trailside staff has also dedicated ourselves to fully implementing the EL Language Arts Modules.  We hope our families are as excited by this news as we are!

The EL approach to teaching and learning is that learning should be challenging, active, meaningful, collaborative and public. EL Education places an emphasis on Mastery of Knowledge and Skills, Character, and High-Quality Student Work. To learn more about the EL model, visit this link. 

To meet the needs of our youngest learners, we offer two full-day preschool classrooms and one half-day preschool classroom. For more information about enrolling in our preschool program, please email preschool@mapleton.us.
